After a career in food styling, working on shoots with editorial clients from fashion and food, Tonia turned her hand to renovating her own properties. She created a boutique private rental finca in Ibiza and a then transformed a Grade Two listed cottage in the Cotswolds, both rented out on Kip Hideaways and Mr and Mrs Smith.

After deciding to switch careers, she retrained at KLC School of Design in Chelsea. From here she went on to work at Studio Duggan followed by a stint at Gunter & co, very different practices, but both focusing on High-end residential refurbishments.

In 2025 she started working for private clients of her own. Her style is eclectic and elegant, with an ethos where balance and the client’s vision is the key, whether that be mixing vintage pieces with contemporary designs, bold colours with muted ones, plain textures with patterns, or curvaceous forms against angular ones.

She has made many connections with a talented artisans, joiners, curtain makers, and furniture makers enabling a bespoke approach to creating unique interiors that extends beyond off the shelf shopping. She can help you create a bespoke shelving unit, an entire boot room or a banquette in a kitchen.

Her designs are always grounded with a sense of place and history so they stay relevant and are less likely to date. She is guided by the soothing and familiar shapes of nature, but will always pepper her designs with a few surprises.
